The Republic of Singapore, commonly known as Singapore, is a city-state and city-state located in Southeast Asia. It is located at the southernmost tip of the Central Peninsula, straddling the Malacca Strait, separated from Indonesia by the Singapore Strait to the south, and from Malaysia by the Johor Strait to the north, and linked between the two coasts by the Singapore-Singapore Long Beach and the Second Passage. In addition to the main island of Singapore, Singapore also includes the surrounding islands, with the largest outer island being Tokwawan.
